THE STORY
I once heard an American photographer call sunlight breaking through clouds “the God Light.” I understood instantly. God’s life in reflections
That mystery — the kind that stirs the spirit — has long drawn me in. While revisiting my West Australian and New Zealand photo archives, I noticed this light appearing again and again. Blending these images into one work, a story and a poem emerged.
The piece became a quiet act of reflection — an expression of joy found within, and a moment of gratitude for a beauty far beyond my understanding.
Realism meets Dreaming
My chosen discipline is photorealism and metaphor bordering surrealism with a twist of humour. God’s life in reflections
I love the vibrant and simple colour rendering in nature and chose to combine digital rendering with multiple mediums to build bridges of understanding between our common ancestry and the creation story as God tells it.

Poem typed on an iPhone, photographed with a Canon 5D Mark I, and edited on a Mac G5 using Photoshop CS4.
The collage blends four photographs from Peppermint Grove (Western Australia), Omaha Beach and Mahurangi West (New Zealand), with cloud imagery courtesy of God, location unknown.
