THE STORY
I find myself in curious wonder whenever I think about Marilyn’s life.
This painting was born during our COVID-19 lockdown, inspired by the guidance of my Created to Thrive mentor, Matt Tommey. Marilyn Monroe’s restoration art
Humour with a bite
A touch of humour always sparks my visionary appetite and stirs a bit of wise introspection—as if tossing a cat among the pigeons of scepticism.
We all carry a streak of rebellion, a quiet challenge to life’s purpose and meaning.
I share these thoughts openly, knowing some will tear them to shreds while others will say,
“Wow, I never looked at it that way.”
And there lies the mystery: we live and die within a maze of opinions—absolutes, fantasies, realities—yet every one of us eventually approaches the final (or perhaps not final) curtain of our mortal story, walking through our own landscape of discovery.
In this moment of reflection, my journey feels full—sadness, laughter, loneliness, revelation, and gratitude for the truths I’ve uncovered while searching for meaning, much like Marilyn Monroe once hungered for in her own life and art.
