THE STORY

The mood in the colors moved me into this scene. It felt like I was under a lovely soft, warm fuzzy sunset with no one to share with but the God of the universe who made it all possible. Matakana Coast Kawau Bay

This photograph had been in the back of my mind for many months. My first impression was inspired driving passed the Waimana Point to Martins Bay for a regular windsurf.

As a graphic designer, the owners commissioned me to create their branding to launch Waimana Point Luxury Lodge. The vision of using this image gave me a hurry up to photograph the scene for use in the marketing material.

On the day the sky and atmosphere lent itself to a wonderful shot and was such a special image to photograph with this beautiful vista on such a brilliant evening. What else can I say? I think the farm owners have some wonderful moments in those paddocks on the Matakana Coast, in our North Auckland playground. What do you think?

This image should grace the walls for any interior decoration project.  Why not in Tokyo, Paris, Sydney, a luxury lodge in Queenstown, or a landlocked pastoralist in central Australia? It’s beautiful.
