THE STORY

I have the inquisitive mind of an artist looking for ideas. This led to painting a series of impressionist works from Lillie’s.

I enjoyed the beautiful lines of the Cala Lillies which were photographed earlier in the year. The thought of painting them quickly, efficiently, and in multimedia appealed to a sense of expressionist adventure. These creations challenged my detailed perfectionism.

In 2104 after a cathartic experience, read the story here, the works were resurrected from the dead. After 20 years of my vision-less artistic depression, many of those works are lost.

Cala Lilies inspire me. I just had to make a project out of my passion. The beautiful lines, the waxy sensual freshness of the petal, the rich colors, and the science in its botany, the rich design, and the colors in the leaves.

Hence the subtitle, “From the hand of a master craftsman”. He deserves praise for the glory seen everywhere in creation and I now remember the pleasure I had in creating the Lily series. Red Cala Lily
