LILY FROM THE VALLEY 4 – Consider the Lillies from the hand of a master craftsman.
Red Cala Lily oil painting
THE STORY
I have the inquisitive mind of an artist looking for ideas. This led to painting the series of Cala Lillies.
I enjoyed the beautiful lines of this Red Cala Lilly oil painting.
Photographed early in 1995 the thought of painting the Lily in photo-realist oils appealed to my sense of adventure. The Cala Lily series became a challenge to my perfectionism with detail.
The beautiful lines, the waxy sensual freshness of the petal, rich colors, and science in its botanical rich design, all pointed to WOW! Red Cala Lily oil painting is beautiful.
Hence the subtitle, “From the hand of a master craftsman”. He deserves praise for the glory seen everywhere in creation.
Something I am beginning to discover is this. I will not undervalue the wonderful world of digital photo art finding its place on our walls but consider this? There is something more appealing in a painting. An artist’s painting may capture more color than a photo but I don’t have the words to describe the sentiment.
After a cathartic experience in 2104, (read the story here), I recovered the large format transparency to start the reproduction cycle. The memories of working the colors faithfully, reminded me of great pleasure creating the Lily series.
Why Consider the Lillies?
Why do you consider the Lilies, you might wonder! Lillies never toil nor worry about how they grow, nor will they wonder at their beauty and glory in maturity. Think about it, they just show and display their glory for us to admire, as designed by a master craftsman’s desire.
The reproduction beauty in this work deserves displaying in London, New York, Paris, or Sydney. Appreciating good taste is worth the exhibition.
The allegory in this beautiful painting was written with heartfelt inspiration, to meditate upon for wellbeing. As a guideline toward peace in your own heart, you are as special as this Lily.
God has given us a wonderful world to live and play in and my exhortation is, “Don’t get so busy building your empire that you forget to stop and appreciate the beauty God has planted before your eyes”.
This painting belongs in the home of Claire Fisher, New Zealand.
