LILY FROM THE VALLEY 3 – Consider the Lilies.

THE STORY

I have the inquisitive mind of an artist looking for ideas. This led to painting the series Yellow Cala Lily oil painting of Cala Lillies.

I enjoyed the beautiful lines of the Cala Lillies I had photographed earlier in the year. The thought of painting them in photo-realist oils appealed to a sense of adventure. These creations became a challenge to my perfectionism with detail.

In 2104 after a cathartic experience, read the story here, the photographed works were edited and made ready for reproduction.

I am inspired by beauty in Cala Lilies. I just had to make a project out of my passion. The beautiful lines, the waxy sensual freshness of the petal, the rich colors and the science in its botany, the rich design, and colors in the leaves

Hence the subtitle, “From the hand of a master craftsman”. He deserves praise for the glory seen everywhere in creation and I now remember the pleasure I had in creating the Lily series.

This image caught my imagination just because of its sheer beauty. I wanted to capture the visually sensual beauty in the shape and waxy luster of the lily. It was a challenge to work the colors faithfully. Something I am beginning to discover is this. A painter will capture more color than a camera. I will not undervalue the wonderful world of digital photo art finding its place on our walls but Yellow Cala Lily oil painting has more depth and character. This is my opinion.

Why Consider the Lillies?

Why do you consider the Lilies, you might wonder! Lillies never toil nor worry about how they will grow, nor will they wonder at the kind of beauty and glory in their maturity of the display. Think about it, they just show and display their own glory for us to admire, as designed by a master craftsman’s desire.

The reproduction beauty in this work deserves displaying in London, New York, Paris, or Sydney. Appreciating good taste is worth the exhibition.

Not only a beautiful work of art, the allegory written, with intention, is a heartfelt inspiration to meditate upon for your wellbeing. As a guideline toward peace in your own heart, you are as special as this Lily.

God has given us a wonderful world to live and play in and my exhortation is, “Don’t get so busy building your empire that you forget to stop and appreciate the beauty God has planted before your eyes”.
