THE STORY

An inquisitive search for ideas led me to an impressionist series inspired by Calla Lilies.

Photographed earlier in the year, their elegant lines and waxy, sensual petals invited a faster, freer, multimedia approach. The challenge was to my photo realism, natural perfectionism. Colour, form, and botanical design became an adventure rather than a constraint.

After a cathartic turning point in 2014, these works were resurrected following nearly two decades of artistic silence, during which many pieces were lost. Rediscovering this series reminded me of the deep pleasure found in creation.

Calla Lilies remain a source of wonder — rich in colour, structure, and design — a quiet testament to craftsmanship embedded throughout creation.
